Last night I listened to a marvellous concert by Mitsuko Uchida with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. They performed Mozart's Piano Concertos Nos. 25 and 27 and Schönberg's Chamber Symphony No. 1. As an encore, Mitsuko-san played Schumann! (Aveu from Carnaval, op. 9)
I had a great time.
(By the way, this was the third time for me to listen to her playing this short piece as an encore.)
This pianist is amazing, I know it very well. Since October 1995, I've listened to Mitsuko-san's performances in the concert halls. Last night the orchestra was also unbelievably wonderful. I could feel their happiness and love for music. Thanks, MCO!
